UMMC Helps Patients Stay Healthy At Home with Telehealth

Helping patients stay healthy from a distance is of the upmost importance to the UMMC Center for Telehealth. With the majority of Mississippians living in rural areas, and the majority of physicians residing in urban locals, remote patient monitoring has become a crucial component of care. UMMC started using Care Innovations’ RPM program for patients with diabetes and within the first six months saw zero ER visits and no hospital admissions. "That’s remarkable," said Michael Adock, UMMC Center for Telehealth Administrator.
